Nicholas Chapman & Margaret Mitchell. Your ideas about offering to look up things like gravestones, etc. sounds like a great idea. Do it! The Guest Book page would seem to be the most appropriate one. The topic title would be the name of the cemetery or graveyard. Later, when the search facility has been improved to search the entire board,it will be easier to find the names. May I also suggest that replies to the messages be done through GC / Personal emails and not put onto the board - as that would clog up the proceedings. Any other ideas for refinements? This is a bit like my local info message. It is such a good idea Vera, members living in a particular area perhaps could log details of graves in their local cemetery and put on GC. My idea was to put in a request for a particular area. So if you wanted to trace a grave you could ask for anyone living in that area to have a look for you to see if they could find your ancesters grave. Jim Mckinney sussex |
