Just out online - Quote "Between 1847 & 1864 the Irish Valuations office carried out the first systematic valuation of property holdings in Ireland, known as Grifiths Valuation. After the destruction of the 1851 census in 1922 thts is now the only detailed guide to people lived in Ireland in the mid 19th century." The web address is (http://www.irishorigins.com/help/about-griffiths.aspx) It will cost £6 for 300 credits - 1 credit shows 1 index and 20 credits views an image. That covers 7 days use. Check it out for yourselves and good hunting. Vera, Manchester LAN |
