can anyone help me. I have traced back to an ancester who died in 1541, but cannot go back any further. anyone got any ideas as to where to look from there? |

Where have you looked? Have you tried parish registers for the county - or maybe looked for wills etc? Graham |

Hi Peter. There are few, if any, Parish registers before 1500. You will need to look at other Parish Documents like Land Registry and Wills etc. Best of luck Jim |

Try looking at some of the medieval history sites on the web some have document from as far back as the 12th century and some are searchable |
