Hi Parents - who needs them!!! A month or so ago, My mother gave me some hand written, (by her) information regarding the family - which - I duly typed and gave her a copy to read. Had a phone call from her this morning - "you got some details wrong - A married C not B", She died in **** not """". I started changing things around. Bearing in mind I took the info from her notes. 15 mins ago - another call - Sorry, the details were right - I was looking at a cousin of theirs. No wonder I think I am going mad. Do you think I am losing my marbles yet?

Elizabeth, At least you have a Mother to ask. I wish my parents were still around, I got loads of information from them while they were but I have lots of questions I could ask them now. Ann Glos

Hi Ann I know I wish I could ask my father about his family, but as with any sort of note taking - if we can can get in a muddle with info - and we know the family names - pity the poor enumerators - come census time!! Regards Liz

Elizabeth, I have copies of the entries in the family bible - very useful except some of the marriages of daughters just give things like 6th March - no year and no mention of the groom's name. Really helpful! Elisabeth

Hi Elisabeth, It's all handy info - just the brides name!! My fav thing is for example: Ann Bloggs marries ???? Smith!! Part and parcel of the fun researching. I love it and am really hooked. Liz
