It is a good point that they make that we should send remarks directly to them not post on here. Ann Glos |

Which seems silly. I thought THIS Board was intended for our comments re GC. Jim |

Thanks Viv, My point exactly. If we are to make suggestions it seems self evident that they will be looked at by the suggestee. Jim |

I mailed a query to GC and got an inadequate reply about 4 days after members, notably Colin & Christa had sorted it for me. Len |

I put my original 'I dont like it' thread up because I wanted to guage others opinions - I wondered if it were only me who didnt like like change and was just being a 'moaning minnie' and I also thought that the Guest book was for comments and suggestions re. G.C.! Sue. |

I've sent GC three emails, about the lack of email confirmation, and the fact that any messages sent to me don't get past my contacts, I think also if they are replied to they don't come back to me. When I posted a message on the Guest Board I got the same response off GC, how else am I going to get in touch with them if they don't answer my emails. |

Marly, No I haven't, but if you are offering to then I would be very greatful. It was working OK up until a few weeks ago, and nothing has changed my end, so the problem must be with them. thanks in advance Ros |

Message for Ros in Redditch; It appears that you may have the junk mail filter on your email account to reject certain emails as the Genes Support team are replying to all of your emails (this would also explain why you are not receiving replies to your contacts) If you have the junk mail filter in your email account set to high it will be automatically deleting any unrecognised emails including any confirmations of your sent emails, new contacts or newsletters from GenesConnected. If you would like to correct this, you can amend the junk mail filter to a medium level and test if this has resolved the issue by sending yourself a contact email through the site. |

Hi Marly, seen your email this afternoon in my contacts, with regard to what GC have said, any ideas about this junk mail filter. I've not altered any of the settings for my emails, as fortunately have not had too many junk emails. No idea where to look for the filter, any help greatfully received. Ros |

Hiya, When I'm looking at my inbox, the options I have are Home, (to the left), then Compose and Contacts (to the right), then just to the right of that I have Options. Clicked on that and gives you a list of things u can do with your mail, Click on Junk Mail Filter and you get the options of what sort of mail you like to receive. I'm on MSN, so don't know if yours will look any different. Hope this helps, I'm not too much of a computer buff myself!! Sarah |

Thanks Marly, I will do that. Sarah I am on Microsoft Outlook and I think it is different, I've checked on the junk mail folder on there and it is empty, but thanks for trying. Ros:-( |

Hi Colin, I've checked that, and it is set at medium. By the way the previous virus problem was sorted out for our neighbour, it was the Welchia not the blaster, which is when I found out about my email problem with GC. Ros |

Yes, as far as I know, no one has said they haven't been able to get in touch, and my hubby forwards 2 or 3 a day home from work and they all come through. Ros |

Colin, I've reset it, but if it was like it before and it worked, why should it change now? Ros. I will send you and email and see if I get a confirmation. |

Not a dickie bird this end, although it went to my contacts page, it did not add your name again, as is already on there from a previous occassion. Hubbies just phoned, turns out we have a junk email filter on Pro Active, he's going to look at it when he gets home. Ros |
