Just to let you all know. I had an email from Max about lunchtime and she sounded much calmer. So pleased to have her Dad with her now and looking forward to getting home when Vicky is fit to travel. There was no indication just yet when that might be. Elisabeth |

Here's the latest update copied from the Members Board: Max in Houston, Texas (10/11/2003 07:37:15) Hi everyone Update: Vicky has been awake again tonight although she is very subdued. I don't think she remembers too much about the accident at the moment, although she does know where she is. My dad is with me - finally - the past 24 hours have been the longest of my life, without no doubt. As soon as I saw him I started crying :-( with relief more than anything I think. There is no telling just yet how long we are here for - depends on how well Vicky does. Could be a few days - could be 2 weeks! we will know more tomorrow morning. The staff here have been absolutely wonderful and I can't thank them enough - I am checking out of hotel and are going to be staying at a hotel nearer to hospital. I spoke to Jason a few minutes ago and he sounds alot more cheerful tonight, if a little subdued too! max xx |
