Hi Kate, Rossi the Black Lab here. It's usually Pan, the cat downstairs, who does all the typing, but he's busy right now having his face washed by Kitty and then he'll do hers and then they'll probably have a fight. They usually do. Crazy cats. That Pan is so stuck up. He just tries to ignore me, and if I get too close he belts me in the face. Kitty's much nicer. She always comes up and gives me a kiss. Anyway Kate, just wanted to tell you I had to wear one of those awful things round my neck. I had to have an operation on my eyes, cos my eyelids were turned inwards and my eyes watered all the time. We Black Labs often get that. Then I had to wear that thing, but boy did I destroy it. I rubbed up against everything and crashed around till it was nearly falling off and they had to keep fixing it with string and tape. Like to see one of them walking around like that and not being able to scratch their ears or their heads. Human beings, huh, hard to live with sometimes but you can't do without 'em. Hope you're better soon Kate and Annie too. Hope your bottom feels better Annie. Woof, Rossi. PS. Grandma let me use her computer tonite cos my Dad's using his. Grandma doggy-sits me in the daytime cos all my family are at work, and she gives me good liver cookies. Yum! |

Hello - Kate here. Happy New Year to all animals and their owners. The last time I went to the vets the nurse changed the dressing and put a red bandage on my poorly paw and some white cotton wool round the top to make it look like a Christmas stocking! Today, Hooray...! I've just come back from the vets without the bandage on my foot, but the bad news is I have to have one of those awful plastic things on my head to stop me licking my paw - it's driving me mad! I keep bumping into things and the cats are looking at me as though I have just landed from Mars! Anyway my human mummy says it can come off for good in a few days - good! Can't wait to go outside and play again. Love and Licks, Kate. |

Penny my 18month old dog says Hi to all the other dogs on this site she's a mongral and a phycho who likes to do the wall of death round the garden fences, we took her of a friends hands who got her for his daughter and she didn't want her she had had three homes in as many months so you can imagine the problems we have had with her but a more loving dog you couldn't find, New Years Eve I had to sit up with her until two as she was so frightened of the fireworks. but she's worth it. oh and she loves meatloaf (the singer) and Elvis. Hello and Hello to all of you from both of us. Us being Milly and Molly, that's our everyday names, our Posh names are Graceful Amy and Castletina Lady. Mum says we are neither graceful nor lady like, huh don't know what she means. We are West Highland White sisters and have lived with our Mum and Dad for almost 4 years. It's really hard work keeping these humans in order and getting them out for exercise. Mum keeps sitting at this puter thing and Dad, well, he goes off to somewhere called work, sounds nasty doesn't it, hope it's not a 'rude' word!!! Our favourite games are chasing the rabbits when we go for walks through the orchards or on the hills and chasing cats that come into our garden, not our own cat called Holly, she's not very nice to us and will smack us if we get too close to her. Molly loves to play fetch with a ball too but she's the naughty one and hides it under the coffee table and then shouts at Dad to fetch it himself, lol, you should see him trying to get down to it now. Milly here, When we go out for walks Molly always looks for the smelly places to roll in then gets really upset when Mum brings her home and puts her in the bath, Oooh she really does smell something awful some days but she never learns. I really feel embarrased walking home with her when she's dirty and smelly. Shove over you and let me in, it's Molly here, Milly is a lazy thing, she won't play ball with me and it takes her ages to run across the orchards, she eats far too much, always on the lookout for crumbs. Mum gives us lovely meals but is Milly happy, oh no, must be looking for more, she's putting on a bit of weight too, that's why she can't run as fast as me. Mum says it's time we looked for husbands!! she said a few babies would sort us both out, don't know what she means! Well, better go, cause Mum's back, Happy New Year all you canine friends, from Milly and Molly Woof Woof |

The dog warden reckons he had been thrown out and possibly with the other 2 labs. His nails were unuaually short and he had rough area's on his elbows, where he'd been left on concrete flooring - poor lickle man. They will let mum know whats happening to him and how he is, so l will let you know when l know!!:(((( Mums still crying:((( Bye - Lady x |

Hallo. I've been watching and reading all the things other dogs and cats have been doing and saying - and I now feel confident enough to introduce myself. I am Clover, and I am a whippet. My human says I am a very cat like dog - I am aloof and very wary of visitors initially - and I like to curl up in soft snuggly places and go to sleep inside carrier bags. I don't have a 'doggy' smell, (I don't smell of cats either!), and I don't like getting my feet wet - unless I am chasing rabbits. I usually wear a fleece coat that 'mum' made for me when I go out - I hate getting cold and wet. I have a Burberry pattern one for when its really cold - very fetching it is too. I enjoy playing with most of the other dogs we meet on our regular walks by the river - I can outrun most of them anyway, and turn much quicker too. Mind you the retired greyhound we met the other day was a bit of a challenge - it was quite a workout for both of us - but we did enjoy it! I met another whippet a week or two back too - which was nice, as there doesn't seem to be too many of us about. He was a very handsome grey brindle and quite a lot bigger than me. He is a show type whippet, whereas I am built more for speed. Well I've said far more than I intended already - which is very unusual for me - I am a quiet sort of dog - I quite like my 'own' cats, particularly the Alzheimic elderly one called Jasmine, but strange ones have no place in my garden! And as for the squirrels that keep walking the fence - I'd like to give them what for! Okay - that's it- back to my warm corner - o and 'mum' says it's bedtime. Night night! |

Hi All, especially Annie This is Lady - well it would appear that l have a mate, be it temporarily - mum found a stray today and u got it, brought him home!!!!! He's a rather large Yellow Lab,younger than me and was really smelly. Mum tried to bath him, but like me he would'nt even go in the bathroom - he backed straight out!!! mum used her nozzle and did'nt persevere. We all went into back garden armed with buckets, blankets and shampoo - fink mum came off worse!!! lol Its quite an adventure when we both need walks cause l go off the lead and he wears mine threaded through the hand strap,my collar won't even reach right round!!! if l go off in front,he pulls mum so he can keep up with me!!! Mum says if he's not picked up by tomorrow, she'll have to take him to vets cause he's got a warm nose and a jippy tummy and his nails are all warn right down - mine are short, but his - well!!! Tonite mum is giving him my spare bed!!! (which is the spare bed)and l'll be in with mum and dad - should be interesting!! Anyway thats it for now, will let you know what happens tomorrow. And yes mum would love to keep him,but Dad's not too keen - rather expensive!! Lady xx |

Meow, it's me, Jaws. Sorry to barge in on the dog site, but I was curious about what you dogs have been talking about (sorry, it's just our nature to be nosey). Annie, even though you ARE one of THEM, I still was happy to see that you feel well enough to type. Your paws must be bigger than mine; I'm only able to type things like lkm and oik, with my dainty little paws. Makes mum really irritated sometimes, too. Don't you just love it when they get mad? Oh, right, it isn't in your genes makeup to irritate your owners. If you need any pointers I would be glad to teach you how to sit on newspapers when mum is reading one; or sit in front of the computer screen -- but only when it is on and someone is typing -- don't EVER sit in front of the screen when the computer is off; or, jump in the middle of the bed when someone is changing the sheets. Anyway, I'm off to nose about the house. Wish you a speedy recovery. |

Hi all My name is Lady, l am a Bull Terrier cross and have had liver probs. My mum has got my diet rite now, eventhough l'm not to chuffed with CHAPPIE,but l still keep being sick in the nite or early hours, not every nite, but most!!! We have been back and forwards to the vet - they poke me about and take more blood tests, which they want to do again soon (to keep a check on the liver enzymes) but no one really knows why l am sick.My mum l]kept saying it could have something to do with the fact that l am hungry and after 2 visits the vet decided she could be rite(my stomach makes awful noises) - so l now have 4 meals aday, the last one about 10.30,this has helped abit, but not always - grrrrrrrr blooming frustrating(l'm not growling cause l'm not a bad tempered dog, just grrrr fed-up). Hi Bella, Pan the cat here. I don't usually like dogs too much, but I've been to the vets and had 2 operations myself, so I just want to say, on behalf of Kitty, Fuzz, Iddles and Rossi the dog that we all hope your pal Annie gets better soon. And tell your Mum that we are all feeling so sad for her today and we are all saying a prayer in our house for Annie, that she will feel good again soon and be chasing around with you again. Love from the Osborne menagerie, (my mum spelled that word for me), Pan.xxx |

Hi Friends. Its Dede, guess what I was sick this morning, threw up all over the rug. Mum said I had gulped my breakfast down to fast, she said I wasn't having anymore until later today, blamed Dad giving us shortbread last night. What's a dog to do when your offered shortbread. Mum was on the rampage this morning, she always get's like this around holiday times, cleaning the house and moaning about dog hair everywhere, she says that she feels she brushes and vacumns extra dogs up from behind the doors. How could 2 dogs loose so much hair. Yada Yada Yada!!! I am going to the lake this afternoon for a walk, get to smell all the moose and deer tracks, Emmh!! Think I will behave quite well and come back right away when I am called, don't want to be in any more trouble. Only a couple of days left before the peace and quiet is over for a week. Grandkids arrive, no peace then for ages. Better get of the computer as its time for more cleaning. Bye for now. Dede |

Hello all you doggy friends. Rowan the (ever so beautiful!!) golden Cocker Spaniel here. Am I the only one that regularly gets run over by the wheels on my mums computer chair when she suddenly moves??! I can tell you it hurts and I tell her every single time and she says I'm a daft dog for always sitting under her feet. She just doesn't seem to realise that I have to. I mean if I didn't I might miss every move she makes to the loo, the kitchen and possibly even the park, so I have to keep a close eye on her at all times. It's not normally a problem unless that pain of a child of hers wants her attention too! Then I really do have to move as I think he thinks I'm just a rug or something! There are three children altogether but only one who walks over me and tries to get her off nice quiet GC and onto the Thomas the Tank Engine website instead! What a god awful noise that is! I don't think mum likes it much either though as we normally seem to go to the park not long after that as he starts crying when she turns it off so we all go to the park to calm him down. RESULT!! I had a girl friend called Honey (and believe me she really is a honey!) but she's recently fallen in love with a new, demanding admirer - a tennis ball. So now I all I can do is chase after her when she chases the ball and she doesn't want to play with me anymore (sob sob!) So any young beautiful bitches out there who are looking for a handsome fella (even if I do say so myself!!) just let me know! I'm only 17 months old and full of energy for the right lady (if you know what I mean!!) WOOF! See ya! PS from his Mum, I can't believe I just wrote that! Do you see what this site is doing to us? It's turning us all into complete nutters! (if we weren't already!) Aye, it's good to laugh! Eleanorxx |

HI ANNIE. Its Dede, I hope you are feeling better soon. Its almost Xmas you need to be well for the holiday season. I have been so busy the past couple of days hardly time to read the messages. Mums been baking, have to help never know she may drop something. I sure love the smell of chocolate, Mum says its poison for dogs, so we never get to have any. She did make us an extra pancake each for breakfast, it had blueberries in it, I forced it down any way, no syrup or butter though. Its quite a nice sunny day today, so we are going to go for a wander round in the woods. I love the smells. Have a nice day all you critters in cyberspace. Talk soon. Dede and Clooney |

Hi Annie, Pan THE cat here. I'm sorry that you're not well, but you'll enjoy all the fuss and cuddles that you'll get. I know cos 2 years ago I had my jaw broken, when "something" grabbed my head. I crept away and hid all day and when it got dark mum and dad kept calling and calling, and I felt so dreadful I decided I'd better go home. They didn't know what was wrong and said I had to go to the vet in the morning. The vet said my jaw was broken and I had about 6 little holes round my head where "something" had grabbed me and they were infected, so I had to be shaved there and have medicine. And I had to have my jaw wired for a month and eat broth, but I didn't feel much like eating anyway. And I got really skinny. But they sure did pamper me, and I loved it once I felt a bit better. They kept trying different kinds of food, and they cuddled me all the time and said what a lovely fellow I was and I was worth the $500 for the vet. So you enjoy it too Annie. Look as sad as you can, and whimper a bit occasionally, it gets you more cuddles and kisses. One day I'll tell you about my other operation, when I was little. That's 2 lives gone, seven left! Pan. |
