Hi Wendy, One of our neighbours has a boxer, a beautiful tan colour, short ears and small face. I have know her since she was a puppy and make a point of giving her attention when I am there as she is very jealous and on two seperate occassions has given me a nip. Not hard enough to draw blood but hard enough to hurt. She will attack a stranger. On the other hand my neighbour's daughter also has a boxer the breed with the long floppy ears and droopy eyes. He would not hurt a fly. It could be that Boris is so gentle because he has been brought up with little children. Where as Lady is jealous as she lives alone with the old couple. We have a brindle british bulldog, a surprise birthday present for my husband. I came very close to changing my mind as I too had heard conflicting stories. I thank God that I did not as you could not wish for a more loving animal. That was seven years ago. good luck Lindy :-) |

Yes, We brought our Boxer, Kim, with us from England back in 1961. She was a red and white with 4 white socks. We had a baby a few months later and she was great with the baby. Was sat on, rolled on, pulled, grabbed and took it all with not a single snarl. She was very intelligent, a tad wilful, and very loving. Loved walks of course, and drives in the car. In fact she just fitted perfectly in the family and we were all heartbroken when at age 12 she became ill and we had to have her put down. She did tend to drool, but only when we were eating something she fancied, which was mostly anything!! And when young, she hated to be left alone and would set about demolishing the house to teach us a lesson. A really great dog, but then aren't they all!!!? |

Hi Annie, Rossi here, and all of us in our house, that is, Pan, Kitty, Fuz and Iddles are so happy to hear that you're feeling better now, and hope that you won't have any more troubles. Also we all wanted to thank Auntie Jude, (is that alright, can we say that) for rescueing that poor lost dog, cos we animals can't look after ourselves, and so it's so important that our humans look after us and look out for other ones of us who're lost or not being treated kindly. We are lucky aren't we Annie, and all the other dogs and cats on this GB, cos we have people that love us. Love and happiness to all, Rossi.xx |

Hi everyone, Kate the border collie here. Boy am I in the dog house!! Been to the vets today for a final checkup on the paw, but he's not too happy with how its mending and I have to go back for another Xray later in the week. I'm supposed to be on 'restricted exercise', whatever that is, and not chase about as I normally do, but thats boring. Well! this afternoon, me and my sister Molly saw an opportunity to run and run and run round the field whilst human mummy was not looking and when she called us back did we getting a telling off! I did give her a licky promise to be good and not do it again .........until next time. I hope all my other doggy friends on here are well and good. love and licks from (naughty) Kate xx |

Meet Ben The Bassett Hound, resident of Calgary, Alberta! Have just returned from my evening sniff and stroll. Nice weather here today, I even managed to catch a few zzzzs while sitting on the front deck in the sun, this afternoon. The old hips are a bit arthritic, so I enjoy the warmth. On very cold days it's once round the block and a quick return to the fire. Don't have much time to stop and chat, I'm a busy dog with four humans, a budgie and two cats to care for. Then there's all that eating and sleeping to fit in somewhere. Happy New Year! |

Hi all you beautiful canines, Me and grandma were just browsing and we wondered how you all are, specially Annie. Hope you're feeling a lot better now Annie, and enjoying your food. We've just had a lot of snow here, and I really liked it, cos my dad took me down the school yard late at night, and let me run all over the place, and he made balls of snow and threw them at me. I like digging my nose in it and tossing it in the air. It's fun stuff, and I'm sad it's gone. Gotta go, holes to dig and bones to bury!! Woof, woof, Rossi. |

Hi Annie, Rossi , the Black lab here. Everyone here is so pleased for you and for your family that you don;t have anything really, really bad wrong with you. Hope you get some really good food, how about a nice juicy steak. They often have that, but never offer me any, and it sure smells great. Pan the cat is lucky. Whenever they downstairs have bacon, he smells it from wherever he is and he tears into the house and gets fed bits of it by his dad. That cat is spoiled rotten. No wonder he's such a snob and won't talk to me. Gotta go. It's snowing here, and grandma thinks it looks real pretty. I'm gonna go out and trample all over it and she'll say "Oh Rossi, do you have to spoil everything.?" When I was real little, only 3 months old, she planted what she called winter crops, cabbages and broccoli and stuff, and I chewed all the tops off. Boy, was she cross!! Yhey put up fences everywhere then to keep me out! Spoilsports!! Bye for now, all you canny canine pals. See ya, Rossi. |

Hi veryone. Its Dede, back from our Xmas and New Year visits. We went to stay at my human brothers house in Vancouver. We aren't allowed, Clooney and I, upstairs when we visit there as they have white carpet. They also have 2 small people, I don't mind them so much, Clooney is afraid of them, they can be quite wild sometimes, especially as they got lots of toys over the holidays. Before we went to visit them we had the other kids here for a week, pandemonium, thank goodness we are back to peace and quiet now, just Mum and Dad. Its very cold here in 100 Mile House at the moment, -42 last night, we don't go out much. Dad has to force us to go for a pee, we like to sit in front of the fire and manage to force down the occasional treat. Not so many treats around since the kids left. I feel sorry for the outside animals, Mum and Dad have to keep going out to make sure the water isn't that weird solid stuff they call ice. The water freezes in a couple of minutes here at the moment. I hope all animals in the world are warm and well fed, that's my New Years wish. Bye for now. Dede and Clooney. |

Hello, Bon Jour and Howde-do-de! It's Toby the stupendous here once again. I've had a fab Christmas and New Year - tons and tons of presents (all fattening of course) - I have yet to find out who gave me the rather stupid Christmas Pudding Squeky thingamibob - I will reward them with a look of distain and possibly pee of their foot - haven't decided which yet! My human mummy says I'm an "ungrateful little wretch" but what's a boy to do with a Christmas Pudding that isn't edible? I might give it to my friend Faith who is a black cocker spaniel bitch (pardon my french) but she is only really interested in her belly (or so my mum says!) she might try to eat it. As I will not be requiring this "toy" do any of you boys and girls want it? I will exchange it for 1/2 ton of Good Boy Chocdrops or 2 Packets of Schmakoos. The rate of exchange varies each day, depending on the mood I'm in. All answers (preferrably with a tin of Pedigree Chum (Rabbit flavour) to Toby (dog) (a.k.a Star Veld Carousel Chief) The Prettiest Boy in Tollerton Your replies will find me as even the Postmas thinks I'm beautiful (now..........I wonder if he gave me that Christmas Pudding?..............) |

Hi Margarate and Wallace Its so nice to see someone else own a belgian ! They are fantastic dogs to own extremley loving and protective dogs. Extremely giddy dogs even at 5 they act like puppys bouncing about im still waiting for him to calm down he even wears the kids out when we are on the park he tries to herd them like sheep you have to see it to beleive it!! People think he is a german shepherd cross with a collie but no they are breed within their own right. Jake is a Terveran just like wellard from Eastenders (except the puzzling thing is wellard is in fact female!! males have a big thick mane). I was going to ask Jake to say a few words but in true Belgian form his is bounding around the garden!! love Jan and Jake xx |

Just a quickie - This is Lady and mum has just phoned the dog warden to find out how Cracker is (thats what mum called him),but the warden did'nt know anything, he did say though that no one had made enquiries for him!!!:((( Mum did'nt realise that if you lose a dog and the warden takes it in, you have to pay to get it out again - £25 initial fee, plus £5 per day kennels, plus any vets fee's, plus booster jabs - praps thats why no one has made inquiries. When he is re homed it will be out of the county - infact he's out of the county now,so l'll not see him again, nor will mum:(( Will keep u up to date if mum hears |

hi kate thankyou for your message.my bottom feels fine now.mind you it still feels a bit sore sometimes and i cant go to toilet properly!!.the vet man stuck some bullets up my bottom and then i couldnt stop going.thats why im sore i reckon. last year i had to have my tail taken away completely because it had grown inwards and made a hole in my bowels(watever that is).the vet told mummy and daddy that that is probably why im having trouble now with my bottom bottoms eh ,...lol oh well, mummy has just got in from work and she gonna get the hoover out so i'll speak to you all later love annie xx |
