Has anyone mentioned Murrays Department Store yet? I used to work opposite that at one time when I worked in Bellmans. |

Hi Valerie, yes, it could have been Duces - I have a terrible memory for names...... and places.......and faces.....etc etc. Miss Barford is the only head that I knew, I suppose I started there about 68ish |

Hi all you ex Hatters Laners out there.I am also an 'Old Girl"and was in Miss Hancocks class 4G1. I remember her as being very strict but also very fair. I think the RE teacher some of you are thinking of may have been Mrs Instone. I left HL in 1965. The other Cinema in Wycombe was The Rex. |

Hi Susie I was along your way today. Didn't see you. Went to John Lewis and bought an 8ft curtain rail. Tight-fisted lot didn't even give me a bag. Len |

My dad used to go to the picture at Frogmore in the late 1930's to watch the cowboy films...and stay all day! He and my gramp (after I was born) used to drink in the Beconsfield Arms. Is that still there? Most of my family at one time or another worked at Harrisons Stamp Factory. I believe that closed...or at least they stopped doing Royal Mail Stamps. Sheila |

Thanks for that Len. When I was dating many moons ago, we used to go the fish and chip shop, which was on Frogmoor I think, and have a sit down meal and then go to the 'pictures' for the matinee. |

Seeing the thread on Saturday Morning Pictures reminded me............Anyone remember when the pictures used to be down at Frogmore? I remember when the new one opened at the back of where Woolworths was/is too. The old Bus Garage down at Frogmore and the old Police Station on Huenden Road. (I was born in the house next door to that) Geeze! I fell old now! Sheila |

Susie For my birthday, Mary my wife gave me patchworka quilt she had made depicting in pictures 4 generations of my family tree. She is a quilter. I had to help (by making the image-transfer sheets from photos) and offered a couple more generations - but she hadn't got the time to make it that big. She also picked up the tab from The Lambert Arms. Len |

Susie Get the Bucks Free Press involved. I would guess they would love it. JL would hate the adverse publicity though and might even do something. Len |

Susie Why are there always so many cars parked on Holmers Farm Way ? Do they belong to the householders or is there some industry round there without a car park? Len |
