After going out in the car several times today and always going the same way hubby said to me " if we go down this road anymore today we will see ourselves coming back" ....I reminded myself that you don't have to be mad to live in our house .......but it helps...Anyone any more.... silly things said Lynn |

Hi Lynn, I've been learning to drive for years (literally, stop, start, there's always something to prevent me from actually sitting the test but I now have a test booked for next Thursday so fingers crossed!!) As a result I have instead become rather good at map reading for all of those who kindly chauffeur me about. A few months ago I was in the car with my sister Lizzie when she said "I have no idea where we're going, you'll have to look at the map" to which I replied "Always the map reader, never the map!" I wouldn't mind but I HAVE been a bridesmaid - always the bridesmaid (well Matron of honour actually as I am married!) but this one liner reduced my poor sister into such a fit of laughter that she had to stop the car! Maybe you had to be there, but it made us laugh! lol Eleanorxx |

why do people always say " ooh be carefull" after you've tripped over or bumped your head??? Why do people say somethings always in the last place you look, as lee evans sasy " i wouldnt carry on bloody looking if I found it would i?" ACtually, one i say myself is "getting there" in reply to people asking how I am. I mean, they asked how i am not am i there yet!? |

The one they always say down here in Cardiff that makes me laugh is" I'll do it now in a minute " What does that mean?! The other one which confused me when I first lived here was Where do you catch the bus to? means Where is the bus stop. I understand now though. My son said the other day "did Jesus have the first nits?"and "is Father christmas Jesus's dad ? How big is God's house ?" Think he's taking his religion a bit too seroiusly. KIM |
