Greeting's Again Sue. . . . Umm.. . That explains why a Thomas & Sarah Lord signed William & Mary's Wedding register then. Wonder if they were the parents of Mary ?. . . Now. . . we can delete that William Ringrose (1771) I found from Great Gidding Huntingshire . . . Just found his death. He was buried 28th. Dec. 1811. at St. Michaels Church in Great Gidding. . . . Do you know if there was any Children from the marriage of William Ringrose & Mary Lord ? Although it only lasted 6 years. . . Their names might just give you a clue as to who Williams Parents names were, they used to name them in strict order in those days. . . Ah well that's food for thought for tonight. . .:0))) MIKE.

Greeting’s Sue. . . . Now how did you guess. . . .:0)))) I’ve had a look at that file on I.G.I. and sorry couldn’t see any Film. Folder, or page Numbers. ? ? Which tells me that it has come to LDS Site through someone’s tree, which they have picked up from Family History sites… Therefore is it reliable information ? See quote below from that file. . . . “ Record submitted after 1991 by a member of the LDS Church. No additional information is available.” My facts come from original records. . backed up with file numbers ect:. . . Now. . . I’m NO expert but thinking out aloud here. . . . To prove that “ William “ buried in Countesthorpe, is part of your Family will prove to be difficult. I doubt if there is a birth / Wedding certificates for “ William” through the usual out-lets. Due to the early dates. Any information we see today is someone’s transcribe from a fiche of the original parish record books And mistakes do happen. . .and YES we can have photo copies from these. ( I can have a look for his Wedding if he did marry at Countesthorpe, next time I’m at Wigston, But I think those years are not on fiches) The only other source of information would be through wills, probate, or deeds. . . Don’t think you can call for his death cert to see what information as again the early dates, and no cert. numbers to quote. . . So I think you will have to put this one to one side for the moment. . . But having said that I know that there will be an upgrade to the VRI disks, due to come out latter on this year. SO there maybe better information after then . . . I’ll get off my Soapbox now. . .:0))))) MIKE.

Morning Mike, You will be seeing these Ringrose's in your sleep. I have been on the IGI noticed that there was a William Ringrose bn 1770 in Naseby Northamptonshire, that would fit the one, William died aged 40 in 1810 that would fit,but what do I need to get to prove it is my William? Sue...............

Greeting’s Sue. . . . The only William Ringrose matching anywhere near Your details on my disks it came up with. . . RINGROSE, William Christening Gender: Male Christening Date: 15 Dec 1771 Recorded in: Great Gidding, Huntingdonshire, England Father: Thomas RINGROSE Mother: Hannah Source: FHL Film 1040989 Dates: 1722 – 1877 Which is only 27 Miles from Naseby. To the left of Sawtry Junction 15 A1 (M) Near to Thrapston Huntingdonshire. But I think he married a Fanny See earlier posting back. Also if I try a look up at the Records Office at Wigston. It will only tell me yes he was buried at St. Andrews Church Countesthorpe. It might not give a age. Although we know it should be 30 if that is right on his headstone. MIKE.

Thanks again for that information Mike. I think the William that you gave me bn 1880 Knighton is the one who married Elizabeth alive on the 1841.As my William had died by then 1810, so that answers that for me. I still think that the information that I have that William was born in Naseby is right, as there is one there bn 1770 but Mike how do I prove that the couple in Naseby that gave birth to a William is mine?this info about him born in Naseby has been passed down from generation to generation. Sue.........

Mike, just thought I'd add.... the family on the 1861 pretty much has to be Joseph's as I just noticed his brothers name of Reuben. Been wondering where he got that name from for my Grt Grandfather... makes sense now if it was his brothers name. Its not exactly a common combination. And the other thing was, no I didn't know about Daniel Taylor being in the household. The info I got on the 1891 wasn't quite as clear as yours is so that's a little extra info too thanks!! Lou

Louise Report 23 Jul 2004 09:31

Mike have copied all that information now. Thank you so much for your help, you're a wee gem laddie. That's another generation back by the looks of it. At least now I have something to work with as I'd come to a bit of a dead stop!! Appreciate your time.:):):) Jan, thanks for the info on the cemetery. I don't know those particular names but chances are they fit in somewhere lol. Mum did say she thought the place had gone to wrack and ruin. Thanks for looking.:) What a helpful bunch you are ;) Lou
