I absolutely agree, it is totally out of order not to respond to those taking the trouble to help, and even to those that cannot. I have joined several Rootweb mailing lists, and it becomes second nature. After all are we not all seeking the same? There are times when we are faced with a brick wall and can only rely on the good nature of others for look ups, local knowledge etc. Lynda |

I was very happy to do lok-up's for people and it gave me quite a thrill finding the requested info and passing it on, I'd spend time searching for details only to find people were posting the same message on several boards at the same time and asking other people as well as myself for the same info. I hope you read this and realise how selfish and bad mannered you are. Because of your inconsideration and ignorance I now only help a small few. There are some lovely people on GC but there are lots who cant even be bothered to say thank you. |

Hi All, I too think a black list should be set up. I ALWAYS try to say thank you. It might get a little delayed as the e-mail address I have registered on here is my work one and unfortnately I do have to do some work during the day and I'm not sat there 24 hours but I really try my best. Thanks Naomi xx |

Hi Margaret I'm fine, had a busy day shopping, and then gardening again. So come on, tell us what it is you want to know - you mention freebies not working for you, and not understanding the jargon. Lots of us don't. Now Colin is very knowledgeable and seems to have endless patience bless him. He put me right only yesterday because I had something I didn't understand. So just you ask away, and if others can't help you, then we'll rope Colin in. Big Hug Norah |

I am not often able to help people, but if and when I can, I am thrilled to be able to do it. However, as others have said, it can be very disappointing when you hear nothing back. I get so mad sometimes, I am tempted to start a blacklist of names! No thanks, no help! Just a very wicked thought...sorry! Dierdre X |

I feel like you, Mary. I have helped many people over the last couple of months and probably less than a third have bothered to say "Thank you". Not that is why I do it but you do wonder a) if they got the information and b) was it any help to them. I hope that I have replied to everyone that has tried to help me, which I really do appreciate, or I will have egg on my face!!! Nes |

Hi Margaret Don't get discouraged - your brain box is as good as anyone else's. We all have a different idea of looking at things. If you ask for help, you will get it, and if you don't understand what you have to do, please ask, someone will lead you through it. Big Hug Norah |
