I WOULD REALY LIKE TO START A FAMILY TREE AND TRACE MY ANCESTORS .............BUT WHERE DO I START.........MY UNCLE HAS DONE MY DADS SIDE OF THE FAMILY(HE LIVES UP NORTH AND I LIVE DOWN SOUTH)TRACING BACK TO THE 1830'S.ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANX. |

Linda, Have you tried clickling on the Help/Faqs section of GenesConnected (look to the left of your screen). You will get basic information there about starting to build your tree. Once you have grasped the rudiments, people on here will help you along the way. Happy hunting! Dierdre X |

See the features column on the left, select Resource Centre, lots of info and sites to link to. Here's a couple more you might find useful. Remember though not all sites are free,you have to pay for info on some sites. www . familysearch . org www . scotlandspeople. gov. uk www . census . pro . gov . uk www . ancestry . com . uk And you will get lots of help from the members here, just post it on one of the message boards and wait for the response.
