Hi All On my home page it said to renew my membership, mine runs out on the 5th march, Anyway if you look on the message from Ken milton posted by Joan Allen, there is a lot of talk that if you are not a member you cannot use the members board and Guest Board so I thought I would try with a different email address without paying, and they were right but also I couldnt use the other boards either. I could read them all but not answer a message or post one. I think there will be a lot of upset people today and the non members cant even have their say because they cannot come on these boards. if nowhere else a non member should be able to post on the guest board as after all the name inplies you are a guest. it also appears ( and i stress the appears) that some paid up members are also having trouble accessing the site |

I think GC will be losing a lot of possible future members by this change. I for one like to test something out before I commit to it especially where a fee is involved. And if I see a guest board I usually assume, being a guest, I am allowed to leave a message. How confusing to a newcomer to know they're not welcome! There surely must have been an easier way to solve the problem of the lunch time nuisances than by penalising a lot of helpful, good people. Ignoring the ignorant brats from the beginning would probably have had more effect than rising to their bait, and with good old Percy Verances help would probably still work. Come on GC, think again, before you entirely destroy your reputation! Di. |
