Think it's worth mentioning that W32 Netsky has now been upgraded to SEVERE. It sends itself via emails with spoofed addresses and a variety of subjects and messages. There must be a lot of problems at the moment, as I had THREE Live Updates yesterday from Symantec - usually one a week! |

I've had a couple of e-mails in the last two days purporting to come from Paypal but carrying the W32/Mimail virus. We haven't got a Paypal account so it had to be suspect, but the anti-virus picked it up anyway. |

Hi all Iv'e just recieved what I think is a virus email & have deleted it immediatly. spoof address ( from the bbc !! ) text:- You earn money & an attatchment I deleted it all without opening the attatchment. My AVG free edition, which has an active e mail scanner, has yet again let me down & failed to stop this email. At the moment I cant afford to go out & buy an antivirus, so its a good job that Im cautious, some people on AVG free edition may totally rely on it stopping virus emails & get caught out ! Elaine x |
