Received a marriage certificate from the GRO yesterday for my Gt Gt Gt Grandmothers marriage, and for both her and her groom the age is given as "of full age" and I don't know when she was born, was hoping this would tell me. At least it has her Fathers name, should be able to find her in the parish records hopefully...

I think that he means that, having got a marriage certificate, the age is given as "Of full age" so it does not help to find a year of birth.

I've had some of those and I land up kicking something (good job Iv'e not got a dog)!!! I think that they knew I would be looking for them and thought they would make it harder for me. Another 'red herring' is Father deceased when he wasn't. Anyone come across this one? Nes

Nes Not had 'father deceased' when still alive, but have had just the opposite. Wondered why I couldn't find him in 1881 census! Sue
