Update on the Appleyard family from Grimsby. Been in touch with Claire and found out more info, and yes we are related. I also found out the stories I was told as a child about smugglers in the family were true! So for anyone who's still looking and getting fed up. Please do not give up. It will happen for you. Sue |

I saw a message on the board by chance about the Appleyard family from Grimsby. I knew I had lots of those names. I can go back to 1750,my ggggg grandfather Amos. What I didn't know was anything about the more recent family Appleyard members and now it seems that I'm going to find out at long last thanks to Claire Fisher who is a third generation Appleyard. Just goes to prove that these boards do help us all,in time. So don't give up. Sue |
