Whats with the brackets and dots please.

Sorry to be a pain. But why do you put brackets and dots in when you are describing a website? I went on the tips board and left a msg and a website and it just did not work, is this why you do this? I am new to this message board thing as you probably can tell. Please advise, i will be extemely grateful. Thank you. Karen |
