I can't remember anyone talking about this before. We went to Iona off the west coast of Scotland for a week in 1996. How about anyone else?

in 1984 we went to cornwall for 2 weeks for our honeymoon we had a Harley Sportster and we took our tent and we camped at various sites including a site on the top of a cliff between boscatle and tintagel and also on a farm near to mevagissey (we had been many times before) we love cormwall and still do and we had made friends amoung the local bikers at the time so we had a fantastic holiday, although the weather wasn't to good at times and we returned to one campsite to find a man chasing our tent around the site trying to catch it as the wind blew it around......we stayed in a b and b that nite...

Simon and I went to Ocho Rios in Jamaica for 2 weeks for our honeymoon in 2001. We plan to go back when we can save enough money. Can't see it being for a while though!

We spent a cold week in a caravan in October 1982, by Loch Morar Invernesshire. The sheep would get under the caravan every morning and rock it back and forth. Hate to think what the locals were saying about "the honeymooners"!

I married my now ex-wife in 1996, our honeymoon was susposed to be in Sharm el Sheik in Eypgt, and the only way we could afford it was to use my Scuba diving club's annual holiday abroad as our honeymoon. The day after the Wedding she informed me that we still copuldn't afford it..so we ended up spending our Honeymoon in a chalet at Butlins in Wales....whoopi soddin doo! And to top it off she came down with flu and wouldn't come out of the bleedin chalet for the whole week. Didn't stop me gettin slightly squiffy every night though! :-) The Marriage seem to go slowly downhill after that! Mind you we were to gether 13yrs and married 7yrs how much more bad luck could I have. Daz

Ouch to all the painful memories and ha ha to all the others! We went ski-ing in Kitzbuhel, giving me a lifelong hatred of ski-ing. I got 5 cold sores and hubby said he most be the only bloke who never kissed his wife on his honeymoon! This was compounded by me being rescued by the mountain rescue team!!! I just love beach holidays.

We were lucky enough to both work for a American Express Travel when we got married in 1995, so we had a night in the Waldorf hotel in London, then 11 nights on the island of Curacao in the Caribbean. Neither of us now in the travel industry, so it will be a long time before we get back there!! Maz. XX

We went to the Isle of Mann on the overnight ferry for our honeymoon. It seemed like a good idea at the time!! You didn't get a cabin, so we spent our wedding night sitting in the seats watching a film! We only stayed on the Isle of Mann, which is a beautiful place, for 4 nights because we couldn't afford to stay any longer! The good old days eh!! Maggy

Father-in-law paid for our trip to Hawaii as a wedding gift. We only had to pay for food and "extras". As a result we took a helicopter ride, raft trip, rented cars and drove around the islands, etc. Our English/Irish ancestry comes out when the sun does -- we both get sunburns at the drop of a hat. We used sunscreen by the buckets while we were there. Didn't get ANY colouring, so on the third to the last day went without sunscreen. BIG mistake, especially since that was the day we took the raft trip. Couldn't move the next day and almost had to cancel the flight home. We did make it home, but we were SO sick. Haven't gone without sunscreen since!

Priory Hotel, Priory Bay, Seaveiw, Isle of Wight nearly 25 years ago for one week full board. Visited a friend on the Island several times and did the rounds of the visitor attractions which I had done many times before when visiting the said friend. Hubby did his back in carrying me through the bedroom door and was in agony for weeks after!!!! LOL.... Viv.

HMM well originally we booked a week in the Maldives (pure relaxation), followed by a week in Sri Lanka (bit of culture). BUT then found out wife was pregnant and couldn't have innoculations, so cancelled (lost deposit). Rebooked, 10 days in Florida, 4 days in New York. Arrived in Florida on the evening of the 10th September 2001. What a nightmare followed... As you can imagine, we didn't make it to New York. Last year for our 2nd Anniversary we finally got there, long weekend in New York...
