Hi Victoria I've got the same problem My great great grandma had three girls and all of them do not appear to have a father on the birth certificate - all born in the 1800's - I'm stumped because my grandma said there was a connection to the name Belk and she was sure her Aunt Annie had a different father (maybe to a Belk) but in all the censuses that list the family - there is no male listed. Sorry i can't help you but i wanted you to know you are not on your own. regards Tracy |

Thank you anyway, but I tried that my Nan has left her fathers name blank on her marriage certificate and my Grandfather has put his step fathers name! |

Am trying to trace fathers for my grandparents, both of them have no father listed on their birth certificates for 1910 and 1919, now I know there are ways of finding out for the 1800s but does anyone know of a way of finding fathers for this time period? any advice would be appreciated! |
