Samantha, my dad lives in Amble, Morpeth but he doesn't originate from there he moved there 2 years ago from Rochdale in Manchester. I went to visit him last October, what a lovely part of the world,I went on a boat trip and saw seals it was amazing!! |

hello fellow Northumbrians I was born and brought up in Blyth Northumberland and now live in Titahi bay Porirua which is a suburb of Wellington New Zealand i have been here since 1988 and I love living here my son Ian still lives in Blyth i would love to hear from any one from Blyth and area Gloria (Leslie) Carroll |

Well, i,m very surprised at the lack of postings on this thread.I,m an adopted Geordie[with a Bucks accent] lived here thirty years and wouldn,t have it any other way.the family moved to Bucks in the 30s from Jarrow,i married a lass from scotswood ,and we came back to Newcastle [Stamfordham road] and felt i was back home as we came over the bridge. |

Well technically its outside Newcastle but nobody ever knows the name so I always just say Newcastle!! Its a village called Crawcrook, between Blaydon and Prudhoe. I was born in Hexham. Lived there for 11 years before I moved abroad and then to Hull. Still miss the North East - the friendliest people in this country by far. |
