Hello All, I telephoned the hospice about 30 minutes ago to enquire how Peggy is, and was told that:- "She is a little confused today, but is quite comfortable" I know that Peggy has had sleeping tablets for the last couple of nights, so these on top of her morphine could be making her confused, I hope you will all keep her in your thoughts. She has said how she has loved your messages and how kind you all are. which I confirm wholeheartedly. If you would like to see a picture of Peggy, please go to My Friends in http://www.groups.msn.com/TheJonesFamilyinHampshire Thanks Norah xx |

Thank you Helen and Lorr. My friend Molly phoned me yesterday after she had been in touch with the hospice, and the good news was that Peggy was feeling a lot better. This morning I posted off another two tapes containing your messages, making a total of 5 now. Thank you to all for your concern. love Norah xx |

Molly | Report | 5 May 2004 16:20 |
Hello from Molly from Nottingham. May I add a little more to my old school friend Norah's sad message about our lovely friend Peggy. Her daughter Elaine phoned me this morning to tell me about the funeral arrangements and during our conversation she told me that during the last few days of Peggy's life, she had had great enjoyment from the tapes that Norah sent, which of course, were all your contributions. Elaine turned the tapes over for her Mum and she lay there chuckling away. So we all thank you very much. Peggy and I are both visually impaired and we used to go together to Computer classes at the local Notts Royal Society for the Blind and what fun we had. The teasing between her and our tutor Ian was hilarious, and afterwards we used to go to town and end up with a cup of tea somewhere. It was always a lovely joyful day and I have missed our get together for over a year as she was not fit enough to go again. I have visited her at home and hospital from time to time, and no matter how ill or in pain she was, she always wanted to know how the other person was and made you feel really cared for. I am pleased to say that she died in her sleep and is now with her Lord who she greatly loved. God be with you, our Peggy. A BIG THANKYOU TO NORAH FOR THINKING OF INVOLVING YOU ALL, AND I KNOW THAT WHEN YOU MEET HER AT YOUR WINCHESTER GET TOGETHER, YOU WILL LOVE HER AS i DO AND HAVE DONE FOR ALL THESE YEARS. |
