Hi Len. I think that the prefixes denote trades. The T was for drivers in the ASC in WW1 and continued for a long time. Unfortunately I can't give you a lead for all of them. Try Imp War Museum? Aye Keith |

Looking at the online medal index I noticed that some servicemen have a prefix in front of their regimental number,ie, in the case of the record I think may be my g-father, T4/ then his number:- 045047. Does anyone know what these prefixes stand for??? and where can I look to find out? Len in Gosport. |
