Does anyone have any vivid memories that stand out more than others? Most of my memories are of doing thing with my dad as my mum has been ill since I was quite young and unable to do things. One memory I have of doing things with her is a poem I used to insist she read me every nite... A wise old owl Sat on an oak The more he heard The less he spoke The less he spoke The more he heard Why arent we like that wise old bird..... Found the book it was in whilst going through my old things... Funny the little things you remember! I made my dad follow the poem with a story of Flutterby and Flutterbum two faries he made up!

My vivid memories are of being awoken by Air Raid Sirens, lifted out of my cot by my Gran, and carried downstairs to snuggle into a nest of pillows and blankets and quilts under a steel table in the kitchen. I suppose if it happened today I would get counselling, but then it was just fun to us toddlers.

When I was very young,4/5/6, I remember going to my nan`s with mum and dad. This was great,as it was my `job` to collect eggs from the chicken run. Barry
