Go for a walk in the country! Working in an office block during the week made me realise that I needed to get to somewhere far removed from the working week. Lucky that I have the North York Moors on my doorstep and today has been a beautiful day, loads of people out walking, cycling and even hang-gliding. In the style of true British weather, it was absolutely tipping down just after I got home. |

Fiona, If you're lucky you might see some ducklings too. I saw my first ducklings this week. They looked so cute with mother - just three of them. Sunday should be a day of rest, but not for me. I like to do all the things that I cannot do in the week. Today I've made bread and cake though. Sometimes I get unexpected visitors and I always have "open house". I can usually rustle up a meal. However, I had no cake, so made a Dutch apple cake. Yes, Lisa it's nice not to slave a hot oven on a Sunday. The Dutch don't use their ovens very much, and who am I to spoil this habit! |

Don't think of it as boring, think of it as a lovely relaxing day to do what you like before the start of another hectic week!! I've had a bit of a lie-in, going to our local Little Chef for lunch, then a chair and a good trashy novel in the back garden for the rest of the day. |

Hi Fiona Isn't there someone you know who would appreciate your doing something for them. In doing something for another person, I'm sure it would relieve your boredom. Come on, think hard now, I'm sure there is someone you could help out. Love Norah |

I have spent it searching and searching for maiden name of Great great Grandfather's wife to no avail, but learnt a lot about searching. Chatted to Christine and Bill when UKGCers were asleep, and genreally found my way around GC. I do not often get the chance to indulge as weekends are so full. Regards J.A. |

We go to a good lively church on Sunday morning, sometimes watch Eastenders in the afternoon (if haven't caught it during the week), I often do my weeks accounts during the evening (self-employed) and have lots of converations with family and friends. |

Hi Fiona Well, we live near the beach (lucky), so we are going to sit outside a pub on the beach this afternoon because it is nice weather. We take the family, and the kids play on the beach, whilst we sit and chill. Lovely laid back Sunday here in Holland. (Fortunately they don't do the big Sunday Lunch here, so I don't have to slave over the oven on a Sunday like I would in England). Hope you find something to help you enjoy the day. Lisa :-) |
