Yes, Jill was a wonderful person. We were modernising one of our community hospitals in the mid '90s and, as it was at Paulton south of Bristol, we invited Jill to come along as a fairly local person and "do" the official reopening. She was magnificent. I collected her from the railway station, and I don't think I've ever met a more natural and unassuming person for the "personality" she was supposed to be. Just like the girl next door! Anyway, she won the hearts of all who met her that day, including staff, local people and, of course, the fairly eldely patients at the hospital. She stopped to chat to them all, and was in no hurry to leave at the end of a wonderful day. We all miss her! Philip |

Jill was a local girl (I live quite close to Weston) and there is a memorial garden that is often visited by locals and tourists alike. It's well sign-posted if anyone wants to visit it. |

Gosh was it really that long ago? We're not far from Weston super Mare and they've done a really lovely memorial garden for her. She was such a nice person, she didn't deserve such a cruel death. |

Can't believe it was that long ago. I always feel sad when I see photos of her, she seemed such a lovely person. What a terrible thing that was and such a waste of a life. Lynda |

Another reason why not to let madmen out on their own. Keep them locked up. |
