Hi all Im probably not the one who has seen some of the threads recently with people making ignorant comments, being spiteful, Hoaxes and even long listed rows! This site is really good and i cant say thanks enough to all the people who have been helping me with my searches. Most of the people on here are decent and friendly but recently ive noticed that there are a few people who want to be nasty is there any need for it? Im sure im not the only one who think this. I just hope that all of us can carry on making it a great site to visit Shelley ( 22 yr old from Essex) |

This site is for general discussion and you may be right in saying that some people tend to abuse it.I,for one have found that it brightens up my day to post threads and know that other people find them interesting or funny and choose to reply.A little bit of leeway goes a long way in this world and we shouldnt ignore bad manners but try and get on with everyone as best we can. |

Maybe its me but i feel that if you have something horrible to say theres no need to put in on a message board so everyone can see it isnt it better to keep it yourself?. Also The hoaxes that have been going round have really got to me. Some people base there whole lives on that bit of hope that they might find someone they have lost contact with etc only to have someone take it away by a practical joke or whatever they wish to call it. I cant imagine how id feel if that happened to me. GC is like one big happy famliy Best Wishes Shelley |

Well said Shelley, I also think it's better to keep the nastier comments to oneself. Having said that, the vast majority of people and threads on here are great, I'm fairly new myself and have so far found the site very useful as well as entertaining! |

As well as Rach, Shelli and I have also made complaints to the GC abuse manager - there's still ongoing messages on the success board, and nothing whatsoever to do with success. |

Many are are born into cicumstances which give them a sense of inadequacy. Other acquire an inferior feeling through the life-events of their upbringing. A strategy they develop for making themselves feel better is to put down others. As they grow older, they refine the process until the become very good at being nasty at the expense of others. The best way of dealing with such people is to utterly ignore them. Len |

I agree with you some are turning this into a school playground and I agree with Len the only degree they are likely to get is in nastiness |

Completely agree with Len. We had this problem before and the best policy is not to rise to the bait. As they say, don't get mad, get even. In this scenario, send a complaint to GC and let them look into it. |

I agree with all of you on this matter. It,s one thing to carry on in good natured banter [re war of the sexes] when it,s all fun and accepted as such but after reading some of the material you good people are on about ,life,s too short to be going on like this and as Len says, its lack of self belief in themselves that causes them to behave in this fashion.
