my husband was born in stoke on trent and brought up in a childrens home called st christophers, with his 4 brothers and sisters. i will ask him if he has heard of the place you mentioned and get back to you. i am also looking for info on st christophers, it was a street of houses all used to accomodate children, who were unable to live at home for one reason or another. this was 1960s. julie newport |

I used to live in a very old house called 'Stone House' in Basnetts Wood, Endon, Stoke on Trent Staffs. I know it has a history but I dont know any specifics except that it used to be a boarding school and a hotel many years ago. I think it was built in the 1700's If there is any one who has any info on this place I would be grateful. Judy (Australia) |
