I've got a Lexmark X85 and have been having problems - two new black cartirdges make no difference - everythings a pale shade of grey ! I know I need a new colour cartridge but surely this shouldn't make a difference should it ? I'm a bit of a novice at these things. I've tried aligning, cleaning nozzles, ringing the help line.............nothing changed. As its on loan from work I expect it'll have to go back and be looked at - I'm at a loss. Mary |

Mary, if your colours are wishy washy it does sound as though the cartridge needs changed ,.Another problem with Lexmark is compatibility, does it run with your version of windows?check the side of the box ,it should tell you on there..It may be the settings as has already been suggested. I run the x/p version of windows and i had to take my printer back in exchange for an epson c32000 which is doing great ,but i hope you don,t have to resort to that Let us know when you get sorted .Denis |
