Hi All, I've been away from 'home' for years (so, I do not know whose around now) but I used to love Duncan Norville (Chase Me..) and Cannon & Ball. I was in two minds whether to admit that these had me creased up everytime, as no one else seems to have mentioned them...?!?! Happy Chuckling Folks...!!! Hugs, Dawn. |

I have to say, after seeing him perform live. Ken Dodd is the greatest of all time. He is so funny and has such charm about him! |

Too many to list really, but anyone whose humour is slightly off-the-wall, both in observation and view-point, without being vicious (as many modern "comics" can be) or over-use of bad language (Jim Davidson is a good example there - a good comic, who seems to feel that he has to resort to gratuitous swearing to gets his laughs). Chaplin, Harry Lloyd, the Marx Brothers, Norman Wisdom, Frankie Howard, Les D, M&W, 2 Ronnies, Eddie Izzard (who has also played Chaplin!), Lee Evans... Just a few names that spring to mind. Like I said, a long list. Rob |

I think Billy Connolly seems to be the most popular so far and he's a great actor into the bargain |

Hi Eileen, Billy Connolly - without a doubt!! I've only got to think about some of his stuff I've seen, and I crack up! An Audience With Billy Connolly springs straight to the fore - classic stuff! (especially the bit about the Sunday newspaper adds) Debbie |

Mine is Lilly Savage (Paul O'Grady). Whenever I watch him he makes me scream with laughter. Angie. |

Billy Connolly is my favourite, followed by Jack Dee, Paul Merton, Ian Hislop (not really a comedian but he should be), Lily Savage and Johnny Vegas. All very funny for different reasons. I also like most of Lenny Henry's stuff - especially Theopholos T Wildebeast or whatever he is called. Has me in stitches. Lindsey |

Lee Evans is my favourite at the moment. Also quite like Jack Dee - such a dry wit. |

I looked on this site and no-one mentions Laurel & Hardy, the greatest double comedy acts of all time. I like Lee evens, espeically when he did bohemian rhapsody, and also the big yin- billy connelly. andy c. |

Billy Connolly has me crying, used to love Ben Elton in the Thatcher years. Can't bear Lee Evans or Harry Hill. Saw an old 2 Ronnies on UK Gold tonight and we were all chuckling away! Maz. XX |

Hi, I'm with you, Becca. Eddie Izzard is the greatest. I also love Paul Merton, Billy Connelly, Ben Elton and Peter Kaye. I hate sexist humour - "take my wife stuff" just isn't funny. Observational comedy is what rocks my boat. Gwynne |
