Sorry I don't have any miracle cures. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and I have not had a full night's sleep since 1998. I never did find a solution, I just learned to cope (and spent a couple of years on autopilot as I have a full time job and so can't make up for lack of sleep during the day). What has sometimes helped wnen I can fit them in is a bout of exercise before tea - running round the garden/a trip to the playground/cycling. Then a very set routine of tea, bath, quiet game, then finally bedtime stories before sleep. No excitement after tea, no tv before bed, and no computer games after tea either. Any of these seems to make mine worse. Angela

Hi Debbi, I am in the same predicament,my son at 8ths doesnt sleep through either,he has a kidney problem so I guess he gets very wet and that wakes him.I never get more than three hours at a time and it tends to wear you down after a while but I have to bear in mind that its not his fault and try and keep my eyes open to see to him which believe me is a bit of a job at 1am,3am,5am,you get the picture!!

Hi Debbi, I don't know about getting him to stay asleep, apart from letting him run around and tire himself out, but with all my three I used to hoover when I'd put them to bed. They went off like a light.
