I know he originates from Somerset, and lived in Chard during the late 1940's, so I would hazard an educated guess that he was based in that area also. |

I recently discovered that my late grandfather had been a Special Constable during WWII (after failing to get into the RAF due to being blind in one eye) I have tried various websites for information on police and volunteers during the war but have so far drawn a blank. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks, Sarah |
