How about a book club? I've just finished a good one, The Secret Hour by Leanne Rice. Very good if you like a light thriller, mystery. |

One of my favourites is Never Look Back by Lesley Pearce. All her books are good but that one in particular. Julie (in a cloudy, damp Maidstone, Kent) |

Bill Bryson is one of my favourites, apart from being an interesting travel writer, I really love his sense of humour. Lynda |

I loved The Pilots Wife by Anita Shreave. Also some of the Irish authors i.e. Maeve Binchy and Patricia Scanlon |

Me too Patricia - I love all the Irish authors, but also all the modern 'chick lit'. I know it's escapism and doesn't really educate me - but it's fun!! I also love Bill Bryson - I would never normally read a travel book, but I feel I've learnt quite a bit by way of his wonderful sense of humour. |

Hi Patricia, I'd love to join a book club and did look locally to see of there were any around. However I'm worried that I wouldn't have time to read and do my FH and be on the boards at the same time as working full time! Naomi (with not enough time on her hands) |

What a fantastic idea for people to recommend books. I have bought new paperbacks in book shops, only to be disapointed after a few pages. It then seems such a waste of money. |
