Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 25 May 2004 14:26

Hi Folks and thank you all SO MUCH for your good wishes! Well, its all done and the temporary crowns are in place. I lost about 4 hours completely yesterday and still feel a bit shaky now, but at least I've lost a bit of weight! Gotta go back in 2 weeks for the real ones to be stuck in - they will be gold as apparently you can't get white on the NHS!!!!!!!! I shan't be turning into a rapper/Mel C though as they are at the back! The worst part was sitting in the chair waiting for the anaesthetist to get off of his blimmin phone - dentist and nurse were NOT amused!! I would just like to say a public *BIG THANK YOU* to Andy my hubby, who has looked after me superbly over the last 24 hours. After sedation you are not allowed to cook, pick up a kettle etc etc so he has done EVERYTHING! What a star!!! Good luck to you too Barry - you are much braver than me!! Maz. XX

At last i have found someone who is as scared of dentist as me, My dentist chuckles to himself as i am the only patient he has that there knees actually knock together. Maz - friday last i had a permanent crown down and i am a NHS patient as my crown is White!! my dentist removed my gold one about 4/5 years ago. He told me that the gold bit is now inside the crown but the outside is white. Anyway good luck, i guess the hard bit is over now, the permanent one are not bad, no pain. Sue-Manchester
