Thanks Nat, I haven't got the strength to be honest. Fred, where I live, community has gone through the window. Since our colliery closed in 1991, things have gone downhill. My husband and I have joined a local group, funded by Welsh Assembly to regenerate ex mining areas but the attitude of the local people is appalling. They don't support us, they don't attend public meetings, they just moan on street corners. We are doing this as volunteers, but to listen to some people you would swear we are getting paid. I was born and brought up here and it's so sad to see the changes of the area and the apathy of the local people. But we have to try, so we'll plod on. M. |

It,s not just home ,it,s the attitude of the welsh people .The streets, even the towns are kept clean of rubbish ,the people are we,ve always found ,friendly and there is a feeling of community long dead in many places ,Newcastle included.Fred. |

Lovely day here, very sunny and cool. I am feeling a bit low healthwise today, so I am having a slow easy day. Washings out, floors are mopped, only have to prepare dinner, so can come on here for a while and then watch some videos. Hoping to feel better this evening to go to Matalan. M. |
