It's a great show with some fantastic cleaning tips (I liked the one on using toothbrush and paste on the seal of the fridge door). But are these people for real??? Surely no-one really lives like that! |

Tracey I hate to say it but you must have been able to smell that house from where you live. Yuch, it was a disgrace for one young woman with only one child to be living like that. Then she had a cheek to say it embarassed her but let the whole country see it. I'd have refused to touch it. I wouldn't mind helping someone who was unable to manage it but there was nothing wrong with her that a good kick up the backside wouldn't cure. Now I realise that the 'mess' my lot make isn't too bad!!! |

My kids love it! They both love to go eeuuurrrrgggghhhhh!!! at the beginning, and Charlotte particularly enjoys the 'before and after' part. I'm no saint in the housework department, but little and often keeps it down and NO I could NEVER let things get that bad. Now I say to the kids 'think how lucky you are to live in a nice clean and tidy house - make sure you help me keep it that way!' Maz. XX |

I MISSED LAST NIGHT WATCHED THE CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW, but i must admit some of those houses are a disgrace, i've had 2 houses that had to be totally scrubbed from top to bottom before i would move any of my stuff in. mine is pretty reasonable as it can be with a dog and the hair ,i have too hoover a couple of times a day.be glad the the laminate flooring is layed. i did use one of there tips in the bathroom for blocked pipes in the bath the bi carb sugar and vinegar, and it did clear it. sandra |

i clean my house every day .it's easy to keep the house clean but it's a bugger trying to keep the dust away.saw a few of kim and aggy's old shows on sky's home and leisure and the one that made me feel really ill was the man that lived on his own .when they went to the fridge to investigate they found year old eggs .aggy went to open it and they were all dried up and off.also he had a cat litter tray that was full of excrement .,the cat done it's business and then walked on the worktops.that was horrible. |

hi sandra i find laminate flooring a nightmare to clean more hard work than carpet. you sweep it or hoover then you still have to go round sides then mop it and thats most days. nice to have down though. just my opinion. tracy |

you know tracy it is quite frightning how much dust collects on a laminated floor.i am asthmatic so all my floors are laminated.but even more frightning that in carpets we can't see the dust so it's collecting for years.skin shed and dust mites.at least laminated flooring can be thoughly cleaned. |

I always like my house to look nice, but I'm not a house proud fanactic. We Let our house out for four years while we lived abroad. Three weeks before we were due to move back in, we thought we would have a look to see if anything needed doing. What a shock that was, I walked in the front door and the first thing that struck me was the smell. I went into the lounge which looked as though it had christmas decs still up going across the ceiling, but it was'nt it was thick brown cobwebs. The walls were brown and the carpet was filthy, the curtains were rotten. No one had cleaned it all the time we were away. I just cried. There was no where that was remotly clean. We had to replace, everything including the loo and kitchen sink and the oven. I refused to use any of them. It was the filtheist house I had ever been in and it was MINE. The flooring, curtains, loo, and sink were replaced before moving day. The wallpaper was taken off and replaced with white paint everywhere, just so it looked clean again. |

Hi Tracy, i have already got laminated in my bedroom, i had it in my lounge in the last house, and found it a bit cleaner with a dirty great big german shepherd, i hoover it and then use that new flash mop where you put the wipes on them, i find that quite quick and easy as i can't lift heavy bits anymore. i use them in the kitchen as well, i find them quite good. Thankyou for your tips, as it does warn people what to expect. have a good night sandra |

One of my favourite programmes, I find it really addictive! I can understand people being a bit untidy and disorganised, but I really can't understand people living in a health hazard! Unfortunately, I'm one of those that drive other people mad - I'm very organised, neat and tidy. BUT I'm not houseproud and I like to think people feel welcome in my home; I don't go around tidying the cushions as soon as they stand up:) My hubby wouldn't watch 'How Clean ..' at first because he said it would make him feel ill, but when I told him that he had to see it to believe it, he also became hooked. I would be mortified if anyone ever nominated me for a programme like that! |

I too love Kim and Aggy. I'm told that Kim is a bit of a sex goddess to some men! It's all that "Scrub, dear. Don't tickle it, SCRUB!" My favourite tip of theirs is to use white vinegar on limescale--it is amazing! to think of the money I've wasted on Viakal! Also their book is very good--full of tips. Just found a fab one in a different book--toothpaste to clean the soleplate of your iron. Works brilliantly and doesn't give off the awful stink that shop-bought iron cleaners do. |

i have seen it first hand,my best friends ex hubby did a moonlight fleet from his house as it was being reposessed(they had been split for 8years). the house still partly belong to my freind as she had bought it before she was we him, any cut along story short, freind been round to look see what wanted doing, i told her i would give her a hand if needed, i went to give her a hand i nearly walked out,it was disgusting, cooker, fridge-freezer were still there with food in them when we moved them creepy crawlies every where, plaster in kitchen fell off, radiators looked like treacle running down when i was scrubbing them, bathroom was black , it took us two weeks and two skips to get it right. then i realised why her kids never had tea there. tracy |
