Is there anyone out there who can help? I've come up against a brick wall with my maternal grandma. She was supposedly born in 1903 but can I find her anywhere - been back to 1898 and forward to 1912; I have found 63 Ivy Bowens in that period but not one Ivy Edith Bowen! Recently though I've been told she was born in Ilkeston Derbyshire and although I can dismiss some of the Ivy Bowens listed theres still some others I can't cos I'm not sure of the registration district Ilkeston was under. I can't even see and Ilkeston anywhere on the pages. Did people have to register in Derby or Nottingham? Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks l
