I was able to send Brian the information he needed. If anyone is near Smeeth, go in the church and see the wonderful stained glass window. The colours are fantastic and the pictures of butterflies just lovely. I only discovered it thanks to this board.

Brian Not able to help, but if anyone does go there, spare a thought for my grandmother. She lived there from 1971-1987.

I don't drive but I've made a note of your request. Hopefully one of the family will take me to have a look for you sometime. It's not too far from here. Today one could just go outside and be blown there, the wind's that strong!

Is there anyone out there, living near the small village of Smeeth in Kent, who would be prepared to check the village churchyard for me? There is a family buried there and I would very much like to know what is on the headstone(s). The names are:- Mary Sanger died 1936. Her children were William Kingston Sanger died 1964, Mabel Selena died 1942, neither married. There were two other daughters Dorothy Maude and Eleanora who married but I'm not sure of their married names, they might have been Fortescue. All I know is that, "They are all buried in the churchyard in Smeeth, Kent". Any help would be greately appreciated.
