I recently masked for recommendations for a genealogist and the concenus of reply appears to be 'ask the other members help first'. So here goes. I've hit a wall and am not getting far. One of my ancestors came down to Woolwich as a Roytal Marine and settled in North Cray marrying one Maria Lockyer on the 15th Oct 1823 at St Nicholas Church Plumstead. As fas as i know they had James 25th July 1824m baptised in Woolwich, this son I've been able to trace. They also had Emily born 14th Feb 1835 in North Cray, Albert born 3rd May 1844, Alfred born 14th Jan 1832 - baptised in Woolwich, Robert born 3rd June 1838, his berth certificate say Alexander McPherson. I've had real trouble tracing the siblings. In thne 1851 census Albert was still with his parents in Galnville Row North Cray. Any help or direction would be most gratefully received. |
