Vosene shampoo reminds me of my first school. It was a boarding school and that was the shampoo they used. My grandparents used Imperial Leather soap and so that always makes me think of them. Mel

Lesley, I loathe milk for the same reason. I still remember my Mam's perfume 'Apple Blossom'. Gold coloured in a little glass bottle with a red top. I wear a scent that reminds me of it when I'm missing Mam and want to feel her close.

We had a thread on the same subject some time ago...so I will put now what I put then..: Max Factor Creme Puff face powder (reminds me of my mum) Coal (reminds me of my Dad - a coalman, never get to smell it now!) Cherry Blossom shoe polish - schooldays - Sunday evening...and dad polishing our shoes for the next day! Dee (with a catch in her throat) X

Creosote does it for me. As soon as I get a whiff of it I am transported back into time when I was around 3 or 4 years old in my garden making mud pies. I guess dad must have creosoted the fence when I was busy 'cooking'.

ooh Teresa, you bet me to it!! The smell from the old Bander printers. My hubby had some originals that you did the copies from and you could still smell the solvent on it. We were all secret "sniffers" in those days when they handed out those copies.
