Our little boy of ten months got new clarks shoes today and we were surprised to find out that he was a three and a half, H! Does that sound big for his age?

I cant remember what size feet my son had at 10 months old but when I was pregnant with him they kept sending me back for more and more scans. Apparently the top bone in the leg and the foot size are supose to be the same when they are developing and my sons feet were much bigger. They kept telling me that he would be born short.....he wasn't he was just born with flippers for feet lol. By the time he was in Reception he was size 2 but he is still size 2 now he's six years old. Dont worry, like most things they grow/learn etc in their own time. He has 6 of his adult teeth already and most of his class mates have only just got 1 wobbly baby tooth..........oh and he is the tallest in his class! Sheila

hi fee that size isn't that big for a ten month old, when one of my daughters was that age i took her for new shoes and when the lady in clarks measured her feet she was a size 41/2 fitting,at 3yrs old i was taking her on a train ride and the ticket collector told me i needed a ticket for heri told him she was only 3 and i had to get her birth cert out to prove how old she was.she is now 29yrs old and 6ft tall and takes a size 9 in womens shoes. so dont worry about your little boys feet so long as he has got growing room in the shoes he will be fine. sue

Hi Fee, don't worry, like Sue said as long as his shoes fit him that's all that matters. My son was premature, only weighed 3lbs 14ozs but he soon caught up .... when I took him into toilets in shops to change his nappy, I used to get some really funny looks because he was so tall for his age! He's 15 and 6'2" now with size 11 feet ... at least you can get hold of shoes for your son LOL.

Christine I am glad I'm not the only one! My 8 year old daughter has just gone into a size 3, 6 year old son is a 1. Its my husband family's fault. He is an 11, his mum an 8 to 9 and her dad is a 12. Still, I'll soon be able to borrow her shoes at this rate - until she overtakes my dainty size 6! My friend has 3 girls age 9, 11 and 13 and she is the smallest shoe size in the house already! Maz. Yup Maz I agree blame the hubby. He's a size 12. My own wee Dad is only a 6. It's a bit much though that I could borrow shoes from my 9 yr old! Lol Christine

Aaahhh! I've just got my sons' first shoes from the wardrobe. Son no. 1 had his 1st proper pair from Clarks when he was about 10-11 months old, size 4G He is now 12 and quite small for his age - one of his classmates is taller than me and has size 7 shoes! Son no. 2 had his 1st pair about 12months old, size 3. He is now size 2, age 10. Son no. 1 was running and kicking a ball at 11 months. Son no. 2 didn't walk until his first birthday, and only then when he was sure he could run first! Helen

Christine, my son used to pass his outgrown school shoes to my dad for doing the gardening in! But now at size 11, he's gone way past my dad's little size 7s so he has to buy his own gardening shoes LOL

He's on his feet quickly isn't he? My son and daughter did not walk until they were 14 and 15 months respectively and whilst my son was a 5 then and is a 12 1/2 now at five years old, my daughter was a 4 and now at nearly 3 she is a size 7. She does have really big hands though considering how slim and petite she is! Don't know what predictions to make from that, LOL! When your little boy is a size 12 man he will look at those little shoes and be amazed! Abigail
