just wondering if i wanted a marriage cert for 1816 would i have to parish records if so has anybody got use of parish records to yorkshire chris |

No marriage certificates before July 1837 when Civil Registration came in. Before that only parish records. They do not give name of either parents for a marriage, and only the full name of the father for a birth. A Latter Day Saints (Mormon) Family History Centre will be able to get film copies of parish records in for you for a very small fee, these are then viewed at one of their Centres. Anne - Melbourne |

Christine It is West Yorkshire so unfortuantely I can't help. Try putting a shout out on the Records board to see if anybody is going. If you ever need any help in East Yorkshire I'll try and do my best. Jeanette |
