Margaret and Paul - it is halfway between you now!!! Has Just arrived here and it is POURING again! Quite a lot of branches and stuff down from yesterday too. Hope it is not going to be another summer like 2002 when the kids were climbing the walls. We went to so many places last year because the weather was good - its very expensive to keep finding indoor activities outside the home! Maz. XX |

People have told me it was pretty stormy through the night (had a lull in the evening). Couldn't say for sure because I slept through it all - it was pretty wet on the ground though and I've seen a few plants blown over in peoples gardens. |

Steven Here near Preston, its pouring down with rain and very windy, during the night it wakened me up. I had to close the windows because of the noise, I hope it doesn't head your way because you aren't very far away. |

Lovely and sunny here in Dartford, forecast is for rain at lunchtime, but survived last night quite well, no structural damage, just the garden is a bit of a mess nothing a couple of hours clearing up won't solve. Sue |

It's lovely and sunny here, near Folkestone but a bit breezy. Apart from losing a pane from the greenhouse I think we came off lightly. Son has gone off on duty with fire service so he may tell me all wasn't so good locally. If the sea is too bad and ferries are cancelled it plays havoc with the motorway near here as 'Operation Stack' comes into force and all the lorries line up for miles waiting for a chance to continue their journey to France. Same happens if ever the French have blockades on their ports. Local people know how to avoid the problem but others get caught up in the snarl up. |
