Hi Sue, I had exactly the same problem, every time i clicked on any favourite the computer froze.I think this is down to the company you're with. They have a way of making things difficult for you so you will end up switching to broadband. I was on the verge of throwing pc out of the window, but decided to give broadband a try.Been on Tiscali for 3 months now and no problems to date. Might be worth looking into, not as expensive as you might think. Joanne. |

Have downloaded all updates etc. So I think I'm doing all the right things. Everytime it happens I have to shut down pc. Its so annoying and its costing me another phone call as I'm on dial up. Don't we just love the things!!!!!!!!! lol Sue |

Sue: What your describing, when you've kept up with maintainance, updates and virus scanning, could be an indication that your hard drive may be on it's way out. Make sure you have all that is important backed up off your computer so you don't lose it in the event your hard drive gives out. Melinda: Your problem sounds virus or spyware related. J : / |

i too have the same problem at the moment,its driving me barmy no sooner got on a page when it defaults back to the homepage or pc completely shuts off and restarts. melinda |

Can anybody help with my computer problem please. It keeps freezing and its driving me mad. It especially happens when I go to my favourites list and try to click on one of them. I've used the PC maintence thread and found that a great help with other problems and I've got all the spyware,adaware etc. Tried system restore as well. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sue |
