Thanks everyone, now I am spoilt for choice, all of them sound lovely, think I will get some testers and see which one looks best and I guess I better ask the family as they have to live here to. Thanks again off now to organise family conference. Bye Gen xx |

Get midnight blue. If you spill any whilst painting no one will ever know. Good tip. |

I know it sounds pretty boring but how about cream? It goes with virtually anything and will lighten up the room. No need to worry about it not tying in with accessories etc and is always a good base colour from which to start if you do manage to change the carpet at some point! Jill x |

Want to decorate living room, I have a plain midnight blue carpet which at the moment I can't afford to replace so what colour walls should I go with, the room is 13 x 15 but quite dark until late afternoon. All suggestions very welcome. Sorry it's not genealogy but got too many brick walls so need something to divert my attention. Gen |
