Two ways to tackle this: 1. see if you can find an Elizabeth Clayson birth or baptism record in Wrexham in 1856ish OR 2. see if you can trace Thomas Ives' marriage either in parish records or civil registration and check that way. The marriage cert should state whether she was widowed or divorced. Then using that info you can trace her previous marriage cert which should have her maiden name on it! |

My great Grandmother Elizabeth I always belived was born Clayson in Wrexham about 1856 .Now I am led to belive that Clayson was her married name as she was married and either widowed or divorced befor marrying my great grandad Thomas Ives.can anyone help pleae...Malc |
