chris its a small world isnt it, I also liked del shannon runnaway, frankie lyman and the teenagers, I wasnt a fan of elvis but liked cliff richard and the beatles of course, I have lots of beatles bits and bobs. jenny

Jenny, did you know Billy Fury worked on Lameys Tugs,on the river Mersey, before he became famous? my dad was a captain on them but he died when i was 14, years later i found out that Billy Fury worked on his tug!!!! i remember dad coming home one day and said he had seen Gerry and the Pacemakers making the film:Ferry cross the Mersey! another of my favs! i used to clean for an old couple some years ago, and it turned out they were Billy's aunt and uncle!!! my claim to fame!! ha,ha. chris.

the walker brothers!!! you've just jogged my memory! i went to see scott walker at the Empire in Liverpool when i was 16 or 17, and the paper dolls were on to,anyone remember them? why i went to see him i don't know! was'nt keen on him! think it was just the thought of seeing someone famous!! so i could say: oh yeah, i've seen him in person! chris.

Margaret, i was'nt to keen on the rolling stones either, loved all 60s music,but the Beatles were my idols, and when they split i had a craze on the Monkeys. chris.

we used to go to a club when i was 16, you had to be 18 to get in, so while we were waiting in the que we would be counting on our fingers to work out what year we were born to make us 18, incase they asked!! we always got in tho'!! and it did'nt finish till midnight!!!!! oh,so late!!!! we thought it was great tho'!!! and we would run to get the last bus home. think it was 2/- to get in, and they had flouresent lighting and if you wore white, wow did you stand out!!!! like the omo advert. chris.

christine i remember sing something simple and i think it was folowed by the black and white minstrals when that finished i knew it was time to go to the palias de dance were it was 2-9( 15p) to get in and we used to sneak bottles of pony in cos it said they had a kick knew that when we woke up next morning aaaahhhh
