If you go to the tips board and enter "decoder" in the search box, you will find lots of threads about the 1901 decoder. In particular, for an easy to understand "how to" read Allie's thread: 1901 Decoder- how to Good luck ! |

Julie The only decoder I know of is the 1901 census decoder which you can download off the Internet. I haven't used it myself, but it helps you to locate the members of a particular family which you can't do so easily on the index. It saves you having to check all the Edith Smiths aged 23 to find which one was married to Arthur Smith aged 30 for example. Helen |
