I have a small stool which I myself made at school. The sitting is made from seagrass. I rubbed down the legs of the stool and varnished it, then wove the seagrass to make a sitting. I left school in 1946! I had given this stool to my mother, but when she died I inherited it. I also have a piece of needlework I made at school during the war - a needlecase. Sylvia |

Does anyone have one of their ancestors' sampler? A piece of fabric stitched by a child usually with the alphabet or a bible passage. |
