Paul - I preferred your previous name. If you keep the present one, I'll have to put my 'old' one from years gone by. Joy |

Warm, sunny, dry - Bournemouth where I work, and near the New Forest where I live. (Almost feel guilty!) Joy |

Gwynneth, I did see on TV that they have demolished that monstrosity the Tricorn. What a horrible building that was. was last in the area when we took the grandsons to the RM museum about two years ago. Usually don't get further down than Fareham Ann Glos |

It's lovely and sunny here in Manchester. Unfortunately I am stuck in a hot and stuffy office with loads of computers that make the temperature even hotter. Roll on 5pm - then it will probably be raining - LOL! Lynne |

Summer of 1968 Ann. ...There has been alot of money spent in Portsmouth, not always wisely some would say but I'm looking forward to seeing what has been done in the Round Tower area when I'm next there. |

Terri, the biggest prob is it is going to be even hotter tomorrow, no likelyhood of rain, so a barby planned late in the evening, you're more than welcome. Chilled G&T's, cold beers and white wine, need I say more, luv, Derek |

Gwynneth What year would that have been. as a teenager I used to walk along the prom with Tony when we were courting, and other boyfriends before him too. From work we used to visit Sallyport and some of the girls used to swim of the walls (not me i couldn't swim then). Then i used to take my kids to canoe lake. as you say memories. ann glos |

Anne, still warm and sunny here, no rain yet, perhaps it has dropped it all on you. Lisa I envy you your walk along the front, I would love to be walking there now. My Mum and her sisters used to sit for hours on the promenade near the pier, or meet by tha canoe lake. i can remember being on the beach near the pier just after the war, Mum used to go up to the little cafe and bring a tray down to the beach, pots of tea, china cups, can't imagine it happening now!! Hi Ann, I'm just back from a week camping up on Skye. The weather was fantastic Wed-Mon then the rain started. We had planned to move on somewhere else on Wed but the tent was absolutely drenched yesterday as we were taking it down, so we had to head for home. Usually we'd come back the A9 road via Perth but luckily we travelled back the West coast road. We heard later that there'd been a landslide due to the rain north of Perth with 8 cars buried in it. Thankfully I don't think anyone was seriously hurt but I'm so glad we didn't come that way. Today the rain is still teeming down here in Edinburgh, but it's so hot and clammy...yuch! Christine |

Light wisps of white in bright blue sky, 34°C in the shade, swimming pool 29°C, a 20 mph breeze, just to cool the skin, a pint (sorry, half litre) of cold San Miguel at hand, what else is there? Derek in France |
